Attorney Maria Torella's professional background includes the representation of clients in family law and special education cases since 1992.
Attorney Torella was a legal services attorney from 1992 through 1998, and a sole practitioner from 1998 through the present. She has been a collaborative law attorney since 2001.
Attorney Torella also served as an assistant clinical instructor for a Probate and Family Court Litigation Seminar for Northeastern University School of Law. In addition, she has experience lecturing and conducting numerous workshops on family law and special education issues. Attorney Torella also accepts court appointments from the Probate and Family Courts and the Juvenile Courts as Guardian Ad Litem, Education Advocate, and Child Requiring Assistance ("CRA") counsel.
Attorney Maria Torella received a B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University in 1988, and her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 1992. Attorney Torella has had a license to practice law in Massachusetts since 1992. In addition to her experience in litigation, Attorney Torella is also trained as a Collaborative Lawyer, as well as a Mediator.
