Attorney Pollak has been a collaborative family lawyer since 2000 when she closed her litigation practice of 20 years. She is a mediator and has served as a Guardian Ad Litem for the courts for the last 25 years. Attorney Pollak also acts as a Parent Coordinator for families where divorce and post-divorce conflict makes it difficult for the parties to effectively co-parent. Exclusively collaborative family law representaiton and mediation. Attorney Pollak specializes in all aspects of collaborative family law, including divorce, post-divorce matters, high conflict custody matters, parent and child negotiaitons, as well as gay and lesbian separations and divorces. Attorney Pollak charges $400 per hour for collaborative law services and $350 per hour for mediation. She charges $300 for Guardian Ad Litem and $250 for Parent Coordinator work.

Attorney Pollak was a school teacher for 10 years before going to law school. Attorney Pollak began her career as legal counsel for the Department of Social Services from 1981 to 1983 when she opened her solo private practice.B.A. from Harper College in Binghamton, N.Y., 1966 M.A. in Early Childhood Education from the College of St. Rose in Albany, N.Y., 1970 Juris Doctorate degree from New England School of Law in Boston, MA., 1980 After many years of litigating family matters, it became crystal clear to me that famliles fare better when they can retain control over their own destiny. My goal is to guide my client to participate in the conflict resolution process with integrity, self-awareness and generosity of spirit. My hope is that a collaborative divorce will lead to a healthy future and the parties will achieve a “divorce with integrity.”
Professional Memberships: Attorney Pollak is Past-President of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP). She has been on the Board of IACP for 6 years and has served as Secretary and President-Elect of the organization. She co-chaired the IACP Networking FORUM in Boston in 2004 which brought 400 collaborative professionals from all of the world to Boston. She has presented at the IACP FORUM in Vancouver, Boston and Atlanta, in San Diego, New Orleans. and Minneapolis.Attorney Pollak represented the IACP at the first European Collaborative conference in Vienna, Austria in 2007 and co-presented with Dr. Cathy Heenan at the second European Collaborative conference in Cork, Ireland in 2008. Attorney Pollak has participated in collaborative law trainings in MA., N.H., Maine, Ohio, MD. and NYC. Attorney Pollak has designed and taught a comprehensive interdisciplinary collaborative trainings for lawyers, coaches, child specialists and financial professionals. She and Dr. Heenan have designed and taught a 3-day training for the Netherlands, which they have presented twice in 2009 and once in 2010. Attorney Pollak also presented to the Tel Aviv Bar Association in Israel in July of 2010. Along with David Hoffman, Attorney Pollak co-founded the Massachusetts Law Council and was its first 2 term President. She is the Past-President of the MA. chapter of AFCC and has presented at national and local AFCC conferences. Attorney Pollak co-founded and co-facilitated monthly holistic lawyers meetings with Attorney Cheryl Conner at Suffolk University Law School and has presented at the International Holistic Lawyers Conference, as well as at the ABA/ADR 6th annual conference on Resolution and Resilience in NYC in 2004 and the ACR annual conference in Atlanta in 2009., Attorney Pollak has authored several articles in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, the IACP Collaborative review and the ABA Family Law journal about collaborative practice. She has contributed materials to MCLE publications about ethics, conflict resolution, child sexual abuse, high conflict divorce and collaborative practice.
