Bette Winik Introductory Training Scholarship
The Bette Winik Introductory Training Scholarship provides financial assistance for those who wish to attend MCLC’s Introductory Training but lack the financial resources to do so on a case-by-case basis. The Scholarship is funded through MCLC member donations. The Scholarship honors Bette Winik, a lawyer and mediator, and pioneer in the Collaborative Law movement in Massachusetts. She was greatly respected by colleagues and clients for her humanity, skill and dedication to helping families resolve differences productively.
The Scholarship is managed by the Scholarship Committee of the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council.

Bette Winik Introductory Training Scholarship Application Process
If you would like to apply for a Bette Winik Introductory Training Scholarship, please download the Bette Winik Introductory Training Scholarship Application and follow the instructions: The Scholarship Application must be received by MCLC no later than one (1) month before the Early Bird Deadline. Applicants will be notified about the status of their application fourteen (14) days following the Scholarship Application deadline.
Criteria and Considerations for Selection: The Scholarship Committee will take the following into consideration when reviewing applications:
(1) The financial needs of the applicant and the specific amount requested;
(2) The reasons the applicant is requesting financial assistance; and
(3) The applicant’s interest in the Collaborative Process and reasons for attending the specified training/conference.
Disbursement of Funds: The applicant will be notified whether he or she has been award Scholarship Funds. In order to receive the award, the applicant will be provided with a Scholarship discount code to apply to the MCLC Introductory Training registration fee.
