More about this MCLC member:

With over twenty years of experience practicing family law in Massachusetts, I am a mediator and collaborative lawyer focusing on alternative dispute resolution and negotiation-based representation. I use empathy, efficiency, strategy, and extensive legal knowledge to help couples negotiate family law issues such as divorce, modifications, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. In addition, I have been counsel of record in notable trial court decisions, including an unprecedented order for mistrial in Norfolk Probate Court. I have also appeared before the Supreme Judicial Court, presented numerous appeals before the Massachusetts Appeals Court, and have been counsel of record in several published and unpublished decisions dealing with child custody issues.

In addition to my private practice, I maintain a small practice as a mentor member of the Committee for Public Counsel Services Children and Family Law Appeals Panel, handling child welfare appeals for indigent children and parents.

I earned my J.D. from Boston College Law School and a B.M. from the Juilliard School. I am a member of the Academy of Certified Financial Litigators, The Divorce Center, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council, the Massachusetts Council on Family Law Mediation, the Women’s Bar Association, and Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc.

I have had speaking engagements on Motions for Relief from Judgment, CAFL Appellate Trainings 2010, and am a published author: Child Welfare Practice in Massachusetts, MCLE, Investigation and Discovery, Court Investigators and Guardians Ad Litem, Post Judgment Representation, 2012.

Besides practicing law, I play violin; in my spare time I perform with organizations such as the Easton Chamber Music Festival, the Sharon Community Chamber Orchestra, and the Waltham Philharmonic. I live in Sharon with my family.
