Participants will learn how courts are increasingly ordering the use of structured communication tools\, how OFW’s features create accountability and transparency between parents\, and how practitioners can monitor interactions and intervene when needed. The session also covers real-world applications\, including sample court orders\, evidentiary documentation\, and tools available to support both professionals and families\, with the goal of streamlining case management and promoting more effective\, less adversarial co-parenting. \nAbout the Presenter \nAiko Suyemoto is a New York-based attorney with a background in family and matrimonial law. She received her BA from Barnard College and her JD from Cardozo Law School\, where she completed the Divorce Mediation Clinic her 2L year. She is also a member of the New York Women’s Bar Association. \nPrior to joining OurFamilyWizard\, she represented clients in family court throughout the five boroughs. Aarons\, JD\, MSW \nHow can we better embody and promote collaborative values in all our work? \nThe Collaborative Law approach is not about any single process or model. It’s about an approach and a set of values that facilitate more meaningful engagement and often lead to more sustainable outcomes. When someone hires a Collaboratively trained professional for a divorce\, for instance\, they may not choose a full “Collaborative Law Process\,” but they will experience\, through that professional\, a different approach and different possibilities for resolution. \nTogether\, we’ll identify the essential elements of Collaborative Law\, beyond a particular process model and explore practical ways to bring the values and benefits of those elements to all the work we do. Beth is the current President of MCLC\, and Co-Chairs the Probate and Estate Dispute Resolution Committee. She also teaches Mediation at Suffolk Law School and has presented at local and national conferences on Collaborative Law and mediation topics. \n  \nJennifer Hawthorne\, Esq. is a collaborative law attorney and mediator focusing mainly on family law matters. Jennifer established a practice in 2013\, and later joined Skylark Law & Mediation\, PC in Southborough\, Massachusetts. Her work is firmly rooted in helping families to resolve conflict. She is dedicated to helping clients disentangle their financial lives while also working to preserve an on-going family relationship post-divorce enabling her clients to be effective co-parents. Jennifer joined the board of the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation (MCFM) in 2016 and is a co-chair of the MCFM Publishing Committee and the MCFM Diversity\, Equity and Inclusion Committee. Jennifer is an active member of the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council (MCLC) and is the co-chair of the Continuing Education Committee. Jennifer worked as the Onsite Coordinator for the DOR Pilot Mediation Project in Suffolk County representing MetroWest Mediation Services (MWMS) where she serves as a volunteer mediator and the Probate and Family Court Coordinator. Justin is the President of the Massachusetts Council of Family Mediators and is the Past President of the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council. He also serves as a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution Section Council. Kim is on the board and is Treasurer of the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation and serves on the Membership Committee of the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council. \nBen Stich has his own family and divorce mediation practice\, Mediation and Family Services. Ben serves as a coach in Collaborative Divorce and has mediated hundreds of divorces\, parenting disputes\, and family conflicts.
