The initial discussion of the book Overcoming Bias by Tiffany Jana and Matthew Freeman, was so interesting and thought provoking that all the book club participants wanted to continue the discussion.   

Overcoming Bias is a short and easy read – only 144 pages! Participants are encouraged to read the book if they have not done so already, and take at least one of Harvard’s implicit bias assessments prior to the meeting. For more information go to:  https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/education.html

If you are short on time, please take one or both of the following tests: “Race IAT” and/or “Gender - Career IAT.” The tests are free! We will be incorporating what we learn about ourselves as a result of taking these tests, at least as much as you choose to share, as part of our book club discussion.

Karen J. Levitt and Sonja Starins will be leading the continuing discussion of the book, and how it relates to all aspects of our work on Collaborative Law and as individuals and professionals.
